EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing)

This therapy was developed by Dr Shipiro in 1987 and has become the most researched form of psychotherapy in the World. EMDR is the treatment of choice
for PTSD and working with traumatic memories. The therapy works by processing traumatic memories using bilateral stimulation such as Eye Movement.

Whilst no therapy can remove memories EMDR works by reducing the distress
and allows the client to learn from the negative experiences without the old sensations
and emotions. As this therapy has developed it has become increasingly beneficial in
the treatment of depression, chronic pain, phobias and many other problems.

Grow Again delivers regular EMDR clinics in Yeovil, Somerset  and  Bridport,  Dorset.

CBT(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

Many stressful states such as anxiety, depression, anger and many more are maintained or made worse by errors in our thinking. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that focuses on the here and now exploring the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Within a therapeutic relationship the therapist can help the client to change any negative patterns of thinking or behaviour that may be causing difficulties. In turn
this can change the way one feels.

Whilst the focus is on the here and now it is sometimes helpful to look at past experiences and determine how this impacts on the present interpretation of
the client’s world.

NLP(Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

This looks at how our brain works through neurological processes, how we use language to communicate and the organisation of this to produce better results. Through training and experience the therapist has found NLP to work particularly
