8-week MBSR course-summer 2017
Lucy Watkinson and Barbara Mellor of Grow Again are delivering an 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course at Frogmore Farm in West Dorset. This course commences on the 9th June and will run for 8 weeks every Friday evening 6.30-8.30pm. The venue is a beautiful tranquil setting with plenty of outdoor space to make to most of during the lighter evenings. Mindfulness is good for everyone but especially beneficial if you experience any of the following:
Chronic pain and illness
Anxiety and panic
High blood pressure
Mindfulness means “Paying attention on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgementally”(Jon Kabat-Zinn). The 8 week course systematically week by week develops the skill of being present with body, thoughts/feelings and emotions which enables you to work with your stress, pain, illness and the everyday challenges of the human condition.The cost of the course includes individually tailored supportive guidance from Lucy, a course manual and a memory stick with all the meditations needed for home practice.. The course is very practical and participatory including guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices and gentle mindful movement.
